Elizabeth (Betsy) Leone Holmes
Betsy came to NH for work as a librarian at Saint Anselm College, and completed her professional career as the library
director at New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester. She taught art history at both colleges and continues to teach art history (and a beginning plein air
painting) as a volunteer for OLLI in Manchester. She is a member of the NH Art Association and exhibits around northern New England. She holds a BFA (Mass Art) and MFA
(Vermont State University/Vermont Studio Center). Her work is primarily plein air, although she is now struggling to translate that into larger studio work(!) She lives in Deering
NH on the lake with her husband Ralph.
