Susanne Larkham is a colorist pastel artist who lives and works in Manchester, NH and her work has been widely shown in numerous national and international juried exhibitions.
Larkham sees and paints the world as a symphony of movement, music & vibrant color and her bold use of dramatic lighting and a saturated palette combine to create captivating compositions. Due to her finely rendered details her work is often mistaken for oils or even photography. She describes her cultivated style as idealized realism in her favorite subjects portraits, florals and sea, land, & skyscapes.
No stranger to the arts, Larkham earned a BS in Secondary Art & Math Education from Taylor University in Upland, IN. A transplanted Midwesterner, she has called New Hampshire home for 30 years. Since 2013, Larkham has volunteered over 700 hours as docent/art educator at the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester, NH. She is a member of a number of local art associations including the Pastel Society of NH where she is a Signature Circle Designee and serves on the Board of Directors.
