Woodturner Jim Hallene has been working with wood since leaning to carve with his grandfather at around 8 years old. He has made tables, chairs and various “flat” items, but woodturning is the most relaxing and artistic skill. You may have a plan as to how something will look when completed, but the wood ultimately dictates the finished piece.
Jim will be presenting how to turn wood into useful and artistic items and how bowls
and other items are made using a wood lathe.
